This page explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on fitdesk.co.uk, what each one does and how long it lasts. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser. They also include scripts that read information your browser sends, such as its type and language. In this page we call them all cookies.
Your choice
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept optional cookies. We only set our own optional cookies and Google Ads cookies if you choose Accept. If you choose Decline, we do not set them. There is one thing we are working to change. Our hosting provider Lovable counts visits on every page with a cookie called session-id. This happens before you make a choice and even if you choose Decline. We are asking Lovable to stop it. You can read more under Set by our hosting provider below.
You can change your choice at any time with in the footer of every page. In Cookie settings you can also turn on Site statistics (FitDesk) or Google ads measurement on their own. If you change from Accept to Decline, we delete the Google Ads cookies and our own optional cookies stored on our site. Google's IDE cookie is stored on Google's own site, doubleclick.net, so we cannot delete it. It can stay for up to about 13 months unless you remove it in your browser settings.
Cookies the site needs to work
These are always on, because the site cannot work properly without them, or because they remember a choice you made. They are not used for advertising or to count visits.

Set by our hosting provider
Our hosting provider Lovable adds two scripts to every page of our website. They run before you make a choice and even if you choose Decline. We are asking Lovable to stop the visit counting, or to make it wait for your choice. We will update this page when that changes.
| Name | Provider | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| session-id | Lovable, our hosting provider | Counts visits and measures page speed. It records the page, the site you came from, your browser, your language and your approximate country, worked out from your time zone | 30 minutes, renewed while you use the site |
| No cookie (Lovable events script) | Lovable, our hosting provider | Sends error reports and app events to Lovable. It reads information your browser sends but stores nothing on your device | Not stored on your device |
If you have a question about this, email privacy@fitdesk.co.uk.
Optional cookies (only if you accept)

|---|---|---|---|
| fd_attribution, fd_signup_started, fd_signup_started_sent, pending_outreach_ref | FitDesk | Records how you found us (for example a link, a campaign or the site you came from), the page you first landed on and whether you started signing up. If you sign up, we save this with your account | Until you clear them or choose Decline |
| fd_first_visit (session storage) | FitDesk | Remembers which link or advert first brought you to our website, so we can see which marketing works when you sign up. | Until you close the tab or sign up. |

Google Ads
| Name | Provider | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cookies starting _gcl_ (such as _gcl_au and _gcl_aw) and _gcl_ls | Tells us when someone who clicked or saw one of our Google ads signs up, so we can measure how our ads perform | 90 days (_gcl_ls until you clear it or choose Decline) | |
| test_cookie | Checks that your browser accepts cookies | 15 minutes | |
| IDE | Google, on its own site doubleclick.net | Google's advertising cookie. We use it only to measure our ads. Our Google Ads settings tell Google not to use data from our site to personalise ads. Google also uses this cookie for its own purposes under its own policy | About 13 months |
Google is a separate controller for the data its Google Ads cookies and tag collect. This means Google decides how it uses that data, under its own privacy policy. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Other sites
When you pay an invoice, you go to Stripe's secure payment page. When you sign in with Google or Apple, you go through our hosting provider Lovable's sign in service to Google's or Apple's sign in page. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control them.
Our apps
Our iOS and Android apps do not use Google Ads, and FitDesk's own site statistics are switched off in them. They store your sign in, your settings and a device code for notifications on your device so the app works. When an app shows pages of our website, our hosting provider Lovable's visit counting and events script, described above, also run on those pages.
Changes and contact
