How Personal Trainers Get Paid Faster in the UK

Send clear invoices, agree payment terms and record cash payments so you know what has been paid.

1. Take card payments at booking

If a client buys a session package up front by card through Stripe, each booking uses a credit, so there's nothing to chase. Connect your own Stripe account in FitDesk to take Stripe card payments.

2. Email a payment link with every invoice

Emailing the client a one tap Stripe pay link as soon as you raise the invoice makes it quick for them to settle, with no awkward chase needed.

3. Sell packages upfront

Packages of 5 or 10 sessions, billed upfront, smooth your cash flow and lock in client commitment. Not sure what to charge for a package? Work it out with the PT pricing calculator.

4. Ask late payers to pay upfront

If a client misses two payments, ask them to pay for each session or package upfront by card. It's a polite way of saying 'we're doing this differently now'. If you are moving over from another app, see the Trainerize alternative and My PT Hub alternative pages, or the personal trainer software for UK PTs overview. Common questions about payments and payouts are in the FitDesk FAQ.
